• Regular cleaning — Every few months, give your clothesline a quick wipe-down with mild soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge or some wet disinfectant wipes. This removes dust and bird droppings.
• Protect the finish — The powder-coated surface is tough, but avoiding abrasive brushes, high-pressure cleaners or harsh chemicals will help preserve the coating’s colour and gloss. A gentle clean is all it needs to stay looking new.
• Inspect fittings — Check all bolts, screws and wall brackets periodically to ensure everything remains tight and secure. Over time, exposure to the elements can cause slight loosening. Tightening these helps maintain the clothesline’s stability and prevents unnecessary wear. Make sure once a year to lubricate with a few drops both stays (mechanism) that are holding the arms with Industrial Oil (see sticker)
• Fold with care — Always raise and lower the frame gently from the middle of the Spreader bar (as sticker attached), especially when the line is loaded with heavier laundry. This prevents strain on the joints and ensures the folding action remains smooth.
• Seasonal attention — After heavy rain, strong winds or extended dry periods, inspect your wall-mounted clothesline for any dirt buildup or signs of wear. A quick clean and check preserves the coating and extends the life of your clothesline.

Every wall-mounted washing line is backed by a 1-year guarantee covering workmanship, materials and cord replacement, along with a 10-year warranty on all other components from the date of purchase. This warranty applies to defects resulting from faulty materials or workmanship, accounting for normal wear and tear.

The warranty is subject to the following conditions:

• The issue must result from faulty workmanship or defective materials, taking normal wear and tear into account.
  
• No evidence of misuse or maladjustment by the owner or any person using or repairing the product with or without the owner’s consent.
  
• Outback Clotheslines is not responsible for any third-party installation of any clothesline.
  
• Deterioration of the powder coating finish caused by exposure to sea air in coastal locations is not covered.
  
• Outback Clotheslines does not cover costs related to freight, postage, in-situ dismantling, replacement, re-assembling and adjustment of the product.
  
• Any malfunction must be reported promptly via email to sales@outbackclotheslines.com.au, including supporting images or videos, so Outback Clotheslines can address the issue and prevent further damage.
  
• If a service call-out is required due to user-related issues, a service fee may apply.
  
• It is recommended to do an annual maintenance check, which includes applying industrial oil to the areas that have been marked. This helps ensure the folding mechanism continues to operate correctly and forms part of the warranty requirements.

Clothesline cords are covered under warranty for 12 months from installation if they become fully damaged. Change-of-mind returns or colour preferences are not covered.

This guarantee exceeds and does not preclude any rights assured by the Trade Practices Act and any other State and Territory Laws.
