šŸ”§ 1. Wall-Mounted Clothesline (Fold Down / Bi-Fold)

Tools Needed:

  • Power drill or screwdriver

  • Adjustable wrench or spanner

  • Ladder (if mounted high)

Steps:

  1. Fold the clothesline down (if foldable).

  2. Locate the mounting brackets on the wall.

  3. Use a drill or screwdriver to remove the screws or bolts.

  4. Support the frame while unscrewing the last bracket to prevent it from falling.

  5. Remove wall plugs or anchors if you want a clean finish.

  6. Patch holes with filler and repaint if needed.

āœ… Tip: Some wall clotheslines have a clip-in system—check for locking pins before pulling it off.

šŸ› ļø 2. Ground-Mounted Clothesline (Fixed Post or Folding Frame)

Tools Needed:

  • Shovel or post puller

  • Socket wrench or spanner

  • Safety gloves

Steps:

  1. Unscrew or unbolt the frame from the base posts (if separate).

  2. If cemented in:

    • Pry or lift it out using a crowbar or post puller.

    • For stubborn posts: use a reciprocating saw to cut the post flush to ground level.

  3. Fill the hole with soil or concrete, if you're not replacing it.

āœ… Tip: You can reuse the clothesline by removing the cement footing and installing it in a new location.

🚶 3. Portable Clothesline (On Wheels or Freestanding)

  1. Fold it down (if applicable).

  2. Lift and move to storage or disposal area.

āœ… Tip: If disposing, most scrap yards accept powder-coated steel.
